Vajrai Waterfall

The 'Bhambavli Vajrai Waterfall is just 27 km from the city of Satara, Maharashtra. It is situated near the Sahyadri hill Its height is around 853 feet (260M).Making it the second-highest plunge waterfall in India after the Nohkalikai Falls with a drop of 335 m (1100 ft) in Meghalaya. You can reach here, by using personal vehicle or ALAWADI Bus from Satara ST stand.The Urmodi dam project is based on this waterfall's river. The birthplace of Urmodi River is started from Vajrai waterfall. You will experience heavy rain fall here.Around the waterfall there are many attractions like kaas plateau, Urmodi dam, Thoseghar Waterfalls and Sajjangad fort which attract many tourists.It is a paradise for trekkers.The path leading to the base of this waterfall is quiet adventurous but risky in monsoon.This area is highly saturated with leaches. Kas Pathar

At a distance of 24 km from Satara, 37 km from Mahabaleshwar and 50 km from Panchgani, the Kaas Plateau, also known as the Kas Pathar, is a vast volcanic lateritic plateau situated in Satara district of Maharashtra. It falls under the Sahyadri Sub Cluster and is among the top places to visit near Satara. Popularly known as the Plateau of Flowers, Kaas Plateau is one of the famous tourist attractions in Maharashtra and also a popular picnic spot among nature lovers during late monsoons. The plateau is situated at an altitude of 1200 m and is approximately 1,000 hectares in area. The name 'Kaas' originates from the Kaasa tree. Kaas Plateau was formed by volcanic activities and is covered by a thin soil cover as a result of which, no vegetation thrives in the region. This area comes under very high rainfall zone. Due to this, the flora and fauna of the region is quite unique. These unique ecological features make Kaas one of the hotspots of biodiversity.

Kaas Lake

Kaas Lake or Kaas Talav, a popular tourist attraction of the region, is located in Satara District of Maharashtra and is situated at a distance of 26 km from Satara City. Kaas Lake, which lies at an altitude of 1067 m above sea level, is an artificial lake built in the year 1875. Surrounded by dense evergreen forests of the Sahyadri Range of the Western Ghats, Kaas Lake is a major stop over along the route to famous destinations of the region like Kasaidevi Temple, Yewateshwar Temple, Bamnoli and Tapola.

Kanher Dam

The Kanher Dam is an earth fill and gravity dam on Venna river near Satara district in the state of Maharashtra in India. The dam is Built-in 1986 on Venna river, 10.10 TMC. it is the very beautiful spot to visit. The main purpose of the dam is to provide hydroelectricity with some irrigation facilities in neighboring areas. The Kanher valley and Kanher dam irrigate the upper parts of Satara district. just downstream of the town of Medha. The dam is situated about 8 Kms from Satara city.
